Dr. Susmita Rajanala is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. She has been serving patients at Gwinnett Pulmonary & Sleep since 2012, providing comprehensive care in pulmonary disease, ICU management, and sleep disorders
Dr. Rajanala completed her medical education at the University of Health Sciences in India and went on to complete extensive postgraduate training in the United States. Her training includes residency in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine, followed by fellowships in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and Cooper University Hospital.
Her broad and diverse training allows her to treat complex respiratory illnesses, manage critically ill patients, and diagnose and treat sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, and related conditions. She is committed to patient-centered care and believes in empowering patients through education, shared decision-making, and long-term partnership.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Rajanala enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She plays tennis, enjoys hiking, and loves traveling to experience new cultures and perspectives. She is a devoted mother who values family life and balance, and she brings that same dedication and attentiveness to her patients.
She is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Konkani, allowing her to serve a diverse patient population with clarity and cultural sensitivity
