Dr. Jelaina Nicole Scott

Critical Care Physician

Dr. Jelaina Nicole Scott, M.D., is a dual-trained physician in emergency medicine and critical care, bringing a dynamic and comprehensive approach to patient care at Gwinnett Pulmonary & Sleep. She joined the practice in 2025 as an attending physician in critical care medicine and also maintains an active role in emergency medicine. Dr. Scott specializes in managing critically ill patients, with expertise in complex, high-acuity conditions requiring advanced life support and multidisciplinary coordination. She completed her critical care fellowship in anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis following her emergency medicine residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Prior to joining Gwinnett Pulmonary Group, Dr. Scott served in multiple academic and clinical roles, including as an assistant professor at UT Health Science Center in Houston. She is board-certified in emergency medicine and is actively involved in teaching, research, and professional organizations, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
