Dr. Edwin “Cory” Gunn is a Georgia native who grew up in Canton with strong family ties in Lawrenceville.
He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology and Microbiology and earned his medical degree from Mercer University in Savannah.
Dr. Gunn completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he also served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He has special clinical interest in Interstitial Lung Disease, Sarcoidosis, Lung Cancer, Endobronchial Ultrasound, Robotic Navigation Bronchoscopy, and Critical Care Echocardiography.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gunn enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, son, and their two Llewelyn English Setters. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring national parks. He is also a passionate sports fan, especially of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Minnesota Vikings.
