Dr. Prasad S. Garimella, M.D., is a highly experienced pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine physician and a longstanding partner at Gwinnett Pulmonary & Sleep. He has been with the practice since 2004 and has played a key leadership role in its growth and operations, previously serving as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Garimella has extensive expertise in managing complex pulmonary and critical care conditions, as well as sleep-related disorders, and continues to serve in hospital leadership as Chair of the Pulmonary/DVT Committee within the Gwinnett Hospital System. He completed his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, along with specialized training in sleep medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine, Dr. Garimella is actively involved in clinical research, teaching, and professional organizations, including the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
