Dr. Naveed Sheikh is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician with advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology. He brings extensive experience in complex lung disease, critical care management, advanced bronchoscopy, and hospital leadership. Since 2020, he has served patients throughout Gwinnett County and surrounding communities at Gwinnett Pulmonary & Sleep.
Dr. Sheikh completed fellowship training in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and has held multiple medical director roles across hospital systems in Tennessee and Connecticut. His career reflects a strong commitment to quality improvement, evidence-based protocols, patient-centered communication, and physician leadership.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Sheikh has served as adjunct faculty, core residency faculty, and clinical instructor, contributing to medical education both in the United States and internationally. His research includes work in pleural disease, pulmonary embolism, and interventional pulmonology, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and national presentations.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Sheikh is a devoted husband and father of two. He is an active CrossFit athlete who values strength, discipline, and wellness—principles he also brings to patient care. He previously trained in playing the traditional South Asian instrument, the sitar, and continues to enjoy music. In his free time, he plays table tennis and pickleball and enjoys watching cricket.
He is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi and is dedicated to serving diverse patient populations with compassion and clarity.
